For God to give us what we really want, he’ll have to strip away the things we think we want.  We all want happiness and peace; but the only way we’ll get them is to have more of Him and less of the things that are not Him.  This means that in order for God to be good to us, he might have to prune away the things in our lives that are getting in the way.  Yes, He will prune good fruit, and you’ll be confused at his ways, but He is only clearing the path for better fruit.
